Everyone In Charge Is On Holiday

The building is empty. The problems are not. They will sit in the corridor for six weeks, growing quietly, and be greeted in September with the phrase 'we're aware of the concerns' as though they had only just arrived.

The letter arrived on the same morning as the restriction notice. One asked for a higher standing charge. The other asked for restraint. Neither acknowledged the other existed, and both were signed by someone whose job title contains the word 'customer'.

It was reported last August. It was assessed in October and found to be 'below the intervention threshold', a phrase which here means deep enough to be annoying but not deep enough to be anyone's problem. It has since grown. It now qualifies. It is on a list.
