Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Newzly (“we”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. We are the controller of the personal information described below and can be reached at support@newzly.app.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign up, our identity provider supplies us with details such as your name, username, and email address.
  • Profile & content. Information you add to your profile, the prompts you submit, the articles and editions generated for you, and uploaded images.
  • Usage & engagement. Activity such as likes, saves, comments, subscriptions, and generation counts used to operate features and enforce limits.
  • Device & log data. Basic technical data your device sends automatically, such as IP address, browser or device type, and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
  • Payment information. If you subscribe, billing is handled by our payment provider. We receive your subscription status, but we do not collect or store your full card details.

2. How we use information

  • to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
  • to generate articles and editions from your prompts;
  • to screen content, enforce limits, and keep the Service safe;
  • to manage subscriptions and process payments;
  • to communicate with you about your account and the Service;
  • to comply with law and to protect our rights, users, and the public.

3. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we process personal information on these bases: to perform our contract with you (to provide the Service you request); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service and preventing abuse; your consent where we ask for it (which you may withdraw at any time); and to comply with a legal obligation.

4. AI processing

To generate content, the prompts and options you submit are sent to a third-party AI provider, which returns the generated text. Inputs and outputs are processed to deliver the feature and to apply safety checks. Do not submit sensitive personal information in your prompts.

5. Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service, including providers for authentication, database and file storage, AI text generation, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf under contracts and are permitted to use it only to provide their services to us.

6. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with the service providers described above, when required by law or to respond to lawful requests, to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will notify you of any change in how your information is handled).

Content you choose to publish is visible to others according to your profile and edition privacy settings.

7. International processing

The Service is operated remotely and relies on providers whose systems may store and process information on servers located in various countries, which may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. By using the Service you understand that your information may be processed in those locations. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

8. Cookies & local storage

We use the cookies and local storage needed to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember basic preferences such as your theme. These are essential to the Service and are always active.

Analytics.We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how Newzly is read — which pages are visited, and how readers arrive. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to do this. We ask before those cookies are set: analytics storage stays disabled unless you accept, and you can decline without losing any part of the Service. You can change your choice later by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not enable Google’s advertising features, ad personalization, or data sharing for advertising. Because we do not track you across other sites, we do not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

9. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or your account, we remove or de-identify the associated data, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising them; as noted above, we do not sell or share your personal information.

You can view and update much of your information in your account settings, control whether your publication is public or private, and delete your content or account at any time. To make any other request, contact us at support@newzly.app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice, such as by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
